Naxos is the largest one of the most self sufficient islands of Cyclades, with its own production of agricultural and dairy products.

The Union of Agricultural Associations of Naxos was established in 1926 by a small groups of producers of Naxos Island, having in mind the support of agricultural activities and the production of small quantities cheese. Since then was developed very rapidly and increased the quantity and improved the quality of the products.

The experience and the willingness of these people for the best made these products famous throughout Greece. Today owns production units of high standards which are also the largest in Cyclades. Among the products is a famous Cheese, the Naxian Gruere.
